If you're in the bustling district of Del Valle, CDMX, and you're craving authentic ramen, look no further than Manpuku Ramen. Nestled on C. Tlacoquemecatl 47 Bis, this cozy eatery features a modest setup with just 10 small tables and a bar that seats five, making it an intimate dining experience—perfect for small groups or solo ramen enthusiasts.
As I stepped inside, the delicious aroma of simmering broth welcomed me. With customer praise highlighting the Manouku chashu Kankuni as a standout, the rich, flavorful soup is consistently noted for its depth—“the best soup flavor,” as one customer described. The perfectly cooked poached egg floats like a crown jewel atop your bowl, enhancing the overall experience with its creamy texture.
While the menu offers various options, including fried rice and karage chicken, most reviewers emphasize sticking to the ramen. My own sentiment echoes this, as I couldn’t help but savor the delicious balance of noodles and broth. The ingredients are clearly chosen with care, though some patrons have noted that side items such as fried rice and takoyaki could use some refinement. For instance, one reviewer found the fried rice a tad too “wet,” while another desired a crunchier fried chicken.
Despite its flaws in certain dishes, the genuine flavors of Manpuku ramen shine through. The restaurant embodies warmth and friendly service, where staff members are keen to assist, guiding you through the menu. While the ambiance may feel like a quaint house with limited ventilation, the flavors more than compensate for any discomfort.
To conclude your meal, don’t skip out on the green tea ice cream, highly regarded by customers for its refreshing flavor. Although some have mentioned disappointments with availability, its vibrant taste promises a sweet ending to your culinary journey.
Overall, Manpuku Ramen is a delightful find for ramen lovers. While aspects like service and facility can be enhanced, the heart of this restaurant truly lies in its flavorful bowls of ramen, which are sure to keep you coming back for more.
Excellent ramen! Small place with about 10 small tables and a bar that seats 5. Don’t come with a large group. Very authentic and reasonably prices! Perfectly cooked poached egg. We felt the Manouku chashu Kankuni had the best soup flavor. I wasn’t a fan of the fried rice bowls, they were a bit to “wet” and the flavor was off but I am Asian so I have high standards. The karage chicken was pretty good, I wish it could be more crunchy. And the Takoyaki was ok but too much breading on the inside for my liking. Stick with the ramen and you can’t go wrong. The green tea ice cream also had great flavor. Overall a very good experience.
The Ramen is good and the prices are just right. The ventilation could be better for the first floor, and they should have ice for their drinks. There was no matcha green tea ice cream when I went, so naturally I was disappointed, but overall good experience and good value for money
Good ramen and steamed buns, the service from the waitresses was terrible, the kitchen could not keep up, they made mistakes with our order and then they made another mistake with my check, we were seated in the second floor and the heat from the kitchen was intolerable, they should add a fan at least, there is potential if service and facilities can improve
Delicious food! Superb! The place is so so. It's well adapted to their needs but it's still a house.... I'll keep going tho, the food is so good!
Excellent ramen! Really delicious! Place is clean and perfectly set up but is really low budget.
Ramen review #79 Friendly staff! He remind me spicy one could be spicy so he offer me to have the spicy source aside but end up I put it all in! Ok back to ramen! The noodle is great, meat is delicious, corn and veggie give it a good balance! The broth, I love it, as you can tell I nearly finish all!!!! I would totally come back About the fried chicken, it’s alright but not my fav of this place
Great ramen, terrible drinks, we tried the matcha ice cream but it’s not the same as advertised
